Conclusion to a report of a cardiology consultation on a new patient with four dozen complicated medical problems and a whopping ass personality disorder to boot:

I know they're human, of course, but it's nice to have a reminder.
In other words, you get to do all the icky, day-to-day stuff and they get to bill for procedures.
And the cardiologist probably gets paid twice as much, maybe even more.
When are people in this country, no matter what their position on the health bill, going to demand more even payments between the well-paying and low-paying specialties?
I see this a lot.
You (and he) should be aware that there is no lessened liability for him.
There is, however, no possibility of billing "at a distance." In other words, he's taking on all the risk for none of the payment.
