Sex or Religion?

Upon reuniting with an old friend from many years ago, significant revelations were made and assorted responses provoked. Can you match the responses with the revelations?

Response group A:
  • Really?
  • I'm not surprised.
  • Whatever makes her happy.
Response group B:
  • What?!?
  • You're kidding!
  • How did her parents take it?
Here were the two revelations:
  1. That she had converted to Christianity (from Judaism) and was now an Episcopalian minister.
  2. She was a lesbian.
Personally, I find it intensely amusing that Response Group A was to her sexual orientation, and Group B was the response to religion. Interesting times we live in, eh?

Oy, what's a nice Jewish girl doing as an Episcopalian minister? That's a long and strange road. The second revelation? Whatever. Responses make sense to me.

Actually, Dr. D, tell the whole story: there were THREE revelations:

1. She's gay. (Yeah, I think we all kinda knew that.)

2. She's now an Episcopal priest. (Okay, whatever makes her happy.)

3. She has a cat. (WHAT?????!?!?)

Oh yeah; I forgot about that. And she was allergic to cats, wasn't she. But it came with the partner, so it must have been worth it to her. (Come to think of it, that's how many of us acquired our surplus cats, now isn't it.)

Religion is always a hot topic for most people. Lots of conflicts related to religious zealotry. I haven't heard of a war started because of lesbianism.
