Oh my. I have a young daughter. I have had her do that. And thought about doing it back to her when she is grown up. oh my.

A gentle reminder indeed. I have a dear friend in the early stages of Alzheimers and that is what it is like-the same question or comment voiced many times. I have learned to answer her as if it's the first time she's said it and this works for us. I know the day will come when she won't even be able to ask the same questions many times and that saddens me and makes me cherish what we have now.

I almost couldn't watch the entire video. I lived with my grandfather for the last year we were able to keep him at home (until he became incontinent). He died of complications related to Alzheimer's five years later. It's a horrible, exhausting and painful disease, both for the patient and the caregivers.
